Approximately square in plan it is constructed in three stories of sandstone ashlar with a 3-span hipped roof of green slate. ==History== Crosby Hall was the manorial home of the Blundell family, lords of the manor of Little Crosby since medieval times. They were a devoutly Catholic family; Richard Blundell died in Lancaster Gaol in 1590 for his beliefs and his son and daughter-in-law were also imprisoned for several years for the same reason. The family were Royalists during the Civil War, the then Squire being severely injured at the siege of Lancaster Castle, later jailed and made to suffer the confiscation of his property for ten years. 〔 (【引用サイトリンク】title= “FOR MATTERS BELONGING TO THE CATHOLICKE RELIGION” – CATHOLIC HISTORY FROM LITTLE CROSBY, ENGLAND ) 〕 In 1838 William Blundell was High Sheriff of Lancashire. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Crosby Hall, Liverpool」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
